Who is responsible

What we collect
If you submit the enquiry form, BLC collects your name, email address, optional company or organisation, and the message you provide. Hosting, security, and analytics systems may also process technical usage data such as IP address, browser or device information, pages viewed, and access times.
Why we collect it
BLC uses personal data to receive and respond to enquiries, assess whether a potential mandate is suitable, manage correspondence, operate and protect the website, understand website performance, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.
Voluntary and required information
Providing personal data is voluntary. Name, email address, and message are required to submit the form because BLC needs them to identify and respond to the enquiry. If you do not provide those fields, the form cannot be submitted; you may instead contact BLC by email or through the Contact page.
Disclosure and service providers
Personal data may be processed by service providers supporting website hosting, security, analytics, and delivery of owner notifications, and by professional advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. Some processing may occur outside Hong Kong. BLC seeks to use contractual or other practical safeguards appropriate to the service and data involved.
Direct marketing
BLC does not use enquiry details for direct marketing unless the notices and consent required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance have first been provided and obtained. Any person may withdraw direct-marketing consent at any time.
Retention and security
Personal data is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, related business records, dispute handling, or applicable legal requirements. BLC takes practical steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss, or use, but no internet transmission is completely secure.
Access and correction
Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you may request access to or correction of personal data held about you. Email jh@blueline-cap.com with the subject “Data access or correction request”. BLC may verify your identity before responding.
Changes and regulatory context
